Forum rules

1. BE NICE, Always. If I catch anyone being rude or mean they will be moderated. If rude or mean behavior persists, usage of the forum will be suspended for one week. If you still can't figure it out you will be banned.

2. Do not double-post or "bump" threads. Use the edit button and if you want to reply to multiple people use the quote button and do it all in one post.

3. Please keep your signatures small. I don't want any signatures bigger then 600x250. This keeps load time down especially in pic heavy threads and it's not obnoxious.

4. Do not register multiple accounts. If you have trouble logging in contact someone on the mod staff.

5. Selling or promoting the sale of goods is not permitted anywhere on the site except for the specified "Marketplace" Forum. Linking to an interesting item that you find from time to time is ok. It is only when promotion is obviously the intent that actions will be taken.

6. If you link to or post someone else's work make sure to give proper credit. This includes but is not limited to tutorials, Art in any form, as well as any quotations or writings.

Hello I am David King. I Build props, sets, costumes and act.
For the past three months I have been working on a Steam Punk character based on the German toy manufacturer Baron Christoph VonClaus.
Christoph Von Claus
Occupation: Toy Manufacturer, Engineer, Air Ship Pilot
Age: 65
Date of Birth: Dec 12, 1825
Place of Birth: Brandenburg, Germany
Brief Description of appearance:
Long curly white hair and beard with twinkling yellow green eyes. The man is morbidly obese and eats sweets like a fiend. When flying he wears a bright Prussian red military jacket accented with white fur trim and brass buttons. He has a four inch wide black belt with large brass buckle, a red aviators helmet and matching goggles.
Special accessories: An unusual pocket watch that tells time in numerous time zones. And a steam powered flying device worn as a backpack.
Personality: Usually jolly and fun loving children generally look favorably upon him but his size and red suit can be intimidating. Grownups think him simple or foolish. This is a mistake. He is a crafty businessman and his mind is always thinking. How else does he come up with all those wonderful toys? Those who incur his wrath learn to fear his size, money, and power.
Skills: He is a Manufacturing Genius and competent Engineer. He owns several unique toy designs, but focuses on customer satisfaction. His employees are extremely faithful, Interesting fact:
1. He is a member of the somewhat secret group known as the “Sonora Aero Club.” On one of his numerous trips to America he dropped in to see his old friend Charles Dellschau [1830 Prussia-1923 Texas], who was living in Sonora, California. Together with several others, they sailed the skies of Western United States in fantastic flying machines
2. Seeking a faster means of toy delivery, he helped finance the building of a rigid airship based on a design by His friend Dellschau and Croatian engineer David Schwarz. On It’s maiden voyage to the United States he took a short cut over the North Pole and serendipitously discovered an entrance to the earth’s interior. Not long after that he relocated his manufacturing center to the North Pole. In return for his guarding the entrance to Agartha the beings there gave him access to certain arcane lore

Welcome to The Monocle Chronicle! Your description is so awesome, I can't wait to see what other awesome posts you make around the forums. *u*

What made you come up with this sort of idea for your character? Were you aiming on going the Claus route, or did that happen after you had started making your character?
So awesome!

Wow, That is very possibly the best Santa Clause story I've ever heard. You should make a post in the costumes thread and show us what you have done. Maybe even make some work logs if you're still working on parts of it.

A friend of mine wanted to run a Steam Punk LARP and sent us an eight page questionnaire to fill out. I had an old red suit and thought what if there was a real person who got mythologized. Two months later i had build Baron Von Claus
